Reporting to Parents
From 2018 the old way of reporting against National Standards was removed. Ōhoka School will report on progress against curriculum Expectations. Assessment of Curriculum Expectations in Literacy and Maths is made using Learning Progressions. Reporting is completed mid and end of year for all students. New Entrant students are also tested and parents met with following the first 6 weeks at school.
Currently, Ōhoka School along with the rest of the 17 schools in our 'Puketeraki' Kahui Ako (Community of Learning) are reviewing the way that reporting is carried out with a view to developing a consistent approach across all schools.
We will be able to report more on this by the years' end.
